(June 3, 2024) WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Tom Kean, Jr. (NJ-07) announced his office is now accepting applications for Service Academy Nominations. Congressman Kean invites students from New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District who wish to pursue an education at one of four service academies to apply for a Congressional nomination to the Service Academy.

(May 16, 2024) WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the House Foreign Affairs Committee passed Europe Subcommittee Chairman, Tom Kean, Jr.’s (NJ-07) Rosatom Sanctions Enforcement Act. This bill will impose sanctions on Rosatom, the Russian state-owned nuclear energy corporation.
(May 16, 2024) BERNARDSVILLE, NJ – Congressman Tom Kean, Jr. (NJ-07) officially launched his first Law Enforcement Hometown Hero Initiative, honoring local law enforcement officers across New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District.
Congressman Kean took submissions throughout New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District and will be highlighting law enforcement heroes throughout the year. Law Enforcement Hometown Heroes were nominated by their supervisors and chiefs from their respective agencies throughout the district.

Crime has increased in New Jersey’s suburbs, including home break-ins, catalytic converter thefts, and local small businesses being robbed.

In attendance were Rabbis, Jewish leaders, local elected officials, and high school and college students from New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District.
According to the Anti-Defamation League, since Hamas’ brutal surprise attack on Israel on October 7th, 2023, the United States saw a 140% increase from 2022 in antisemitic cases.
(May 8, 2024) WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the House of Representatives passed the Fire Grants and Safety Act, 393 to 13. Abipartisan, bicameral bill introduced by Congressman Tom Kean, Jr. (NJ-07) and co-led by Congressman Bill Pascrell, Jr. (NJ-09), the co-chairman of the House Fire Services Caucus, this bill will support and advance firefighter and first responder services across the nation.
(May 6, 2024) BERNARDSVILLE, NJ – Congressman Tom Kean, Jr. (NJ-07) announced New Jersey’s Seventh Congressional District winner of the 2024 Congressional Art Competition. The first-place winner of the competition is Ellie Beaugris of Somerville High School. Her painting, “Fall Sport,” will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year and she will be invited to Washington, DC for a national recognition event.
