The bipartisan bill would create the first federal grant program dedicated to mental health care for firefighters, paramedics, and dispatchers, addressing a gap in support that EMS workers have faced for years.
(August 21, 2026) SUMMIT, NJ – Yesterday, Congressman Tom Kean, Jr. (NJ-07) presented $530,000 to the City of Summit for vital sidewalk improvements on Glenside Avenue.
Glenside Avenue is a high-traffic street with access to I-78. These upgrades will include the installation of new ADA-compliant sidewalks.

(August 18, 2026) Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Tom Kean, Jr. (NJ-07) sent a letter to U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Acting Under Secretary of Health, John Figueroa, proposing the establishment of a new VA Vet Center in Hunterdon County.
In his letter to Under Secretary Figueroa, Congressman Kean called for expanding VA resources in Hunterdon County to benefit its more than 5,000 veteran residents.
(August 17, 2026) MINE HILL, NJ – Last week, Congressman Tom Kean, Jr. (NJ-07) visited Mine Hill Township to view the site for the water main replacement project. Congressman Kean secured $850,000 in a key House Appropriations bill for Mine Hill Township through the Community Project Funding process, which will be used to replace 5,307 linear feet of transite water main.
