(April 14, 2026) LEBANON, NJ — Today, Congressman Tom Kean, Jr. (NJ-07) announced that his office is accepting submissions for an essay contest to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary. The contest is to open to all students in grades 3-6 residing in New Jersey’s Seventh Congressional District.
Using their own words, students are encouraged to creatively honor this upcoming milestone in America’s history by writing an essay that responds to the following prompt:
(April 9, 2026) WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Tom Kean, Jr. (NJ-07) announced that his office has submitted 20 Community Project Funding requests to the House Appropriations Committee for consideration ahead of the Fiscal Year 2027 congressional appropriations process. Each of the six counties in New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District are represented in the selections below.
(April 7, 2026) WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Tom Kean, Jr. (NJ-07) sent a letter to U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Markwayne Mullin urging a thorough review of the Department’s proposed processing facility in Roxbury Township, New Jersey.
In his letter to the newly confirmed Secretary, Congressman Kean called for meaningful engagement with local officials who have raised concerns about the facility’s impact on their community.

Shwachman-Diamond syndrome (SDS) is a rare genetic condition affecting an estimated 2,000 Americans that impairs the body’s bone marrow, pancreas, and skeleton, and can lead to an increased risk of blood disorders including acute myeloid leukemia.

The competition, sponsored by the Congressional Institute, is the U.S. House of Representatives’ official art competition and is open to all high school students residing in New Jersey’s Seventh Congressional District. This June, the winning student will be invited to Washington, D.C. for a celebration recognizing their artistic achievement.
(March 3, 2026) WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 5419, the Enhancing Administrative Reviews for Broadband Deployment Act, by unanimous voice vote. Introduced by Congressman Tom Kean, Jr. (NJ-07) in September 2025, this legislation will make meaningful progress towards connecting rural and Tribal communities to high-speed internet access by identifying and addressing key regulatory barriers.
