Kean Secures More Than $5.5 Million in Federal Funding for Warren County
(November 2, 2026) WARREN COUNTY, NJ – Last week, Congressman Tom Kean, Jr. (NJ-07) visited four Community Project Funding sites in Warren County. Since taking office in 2023, he has secured more than $5.5 million in federal funding for projects across the county.
“From first responders to students to families, I am always fighting for Warren County,” said Congressman Kean. “The federal funding I secured across these projects will work to increase public safety, both in schools and communities at large, as well as foster the heart of Warren County, agriculture. I will continue to advocate for the residents of Warren County and New Jersey’s Seventh Congressional District."
“Today was a great day for Warren County. I want to thank Congressman Kean, who has been so successful at bringing federal tax dollars back to Warren County,” said Warren County Commissioner Director Lori Ciesla. “Our priorities have become his priorities, and he has delivered a tremendous amount for our county and our local communities. These projects will provide crucial services and couldn't have happened without the Congressman's leadership.”
“I want to thank Congressman Tom Kean Jr. for the work he does every day to make sure Warren County’s needs are heard and our communities have a strong advocate in Washington,” said Warren County Commissioner James R. Kern III. “Securing federal support takes persistence, careful preparation, and close work with local partners. These investments will strengthen public safety, expand educational and workforce opportunities, and improve quality of life across Warren County. They will provide law enforcement and emergency responders with important resources and opportunities to prepare for the demands of their work, while supporting education and career development in agriculture. We are grateful to the Congressman and his staff who worked to bring this funding home.”
Kean Delivers $97,607 to Greenwich Township for School Resource Officer Vehicle and Equipment
Greenwich Township will purchase a police vehicle to be utilized by the Township’s school resource officer to better ensure a safe, secure, and supportive school environment.
“Congressman Kean is always accessible to us, he always responds to us, and he always personally answers our calls,” said Greenwich Township Mayor Robert Barsony. “I thank him for bringing Greenwich this funding and appreciate everything he does for us.”
“I want to thank the Township, the Congressman, and the entire committee,” said School Resource Officer Kate Proscia-Berger. “I love the opportunity to be able to serve as school resource officer between both the elementary and middle school. It’s a pleasure every day to be able to make sure that I do anything I can to help keep these students safe.”

Kean Delivers $979,000 to Warren County Community College for the Agricultural Education and Training Center
This federal funding will be used to renovate the Center’s facilities to serve as a location for training students on vocational agriculture and culinary studies. This provides for workforce development opportunities and local economic growth, spurs innovation, opens the door to educational access, and broadens community engagement.
“Congressman Kean and I have worked together to deliver for Warren County, and this nearly $979,000 in federal funding for the Community College’s Agricultural Education and Training Center is a perfect example of that partnership,” said New Jersey State Senator Doug Steinhardt. “Agriculture is the backbone of our local economy and way of life, and improving these facilities so students get real hands-on training in vocational agriculture and culinary skills will strengthen that tradition while building a skilled workforce right here at home. I’m glad to stand with Congressman Kean as he brings these federal dollars back to our community where they’ll make a lasting difference for our students, our farms, and our future.”
“In many ways, food is an economic development activity. It’s a national security issue. The ability to create our own food here in Warren County for our residents is especially important,” said WCCC President Dr. Will Austin. “The Congressman has worked tirelessly for us, and he’s made a real difference in our community on projects like this one, which we’ve been working on since he was first elected. I thank the Congressman sincerely and admire everything he’s done for us.”

Kean Secures $750,000 for Warren County Law Enforcement Emergency Services Training Center
The funding will be used for the construction of a new Law Enforcement and Emergency Services Training Center to meet the ever increasing training demands upon Police, Fire and EMS service providers in Warren County. The lack of a suitable and centralized location for hosting the necessary classes places a hardship on planners, instructors, and attendees alike. The new facility will include both classroom space and training areas for multiple modes of training and hands-on activity.
“This is something that’s long overdue in Warren County,” said Christopher Jones, President of the Warren County Police Chief's Association. “Public safety is one big collaborative effort, and in order for us to handle situations properly, we have to make sure we’re trained properly. With a facility like this, the training will be going to the next level. Thank you to the Congressman for his support and partnership.”

Kean Secures $656,406 for Hope Township Fire Engine Truck Replacement
The funding will be used to purchase a new fire engine for the Hope Township Volunteer Fire Department. Replacing the current engine, which is approximately 20 years old, is essential to maintaining dependable fire emergency response capabilities and protecting the residents of Hope. A new fire engine will improve reliability, reduce out-of-service time, enhance firefighter safety, and strengthen the Township’s capacity to respond to fires and other emergencies.
“On behalf of all the residents of Hope Township, I want to thank Congressman Tom Kean for selecting Hope Township as one of the projects from within his district for funding in the federal budget,” said Hope Township Mayor Timothy McDonough. “The funding will be going toward a new fire truck which we desperately need.”

In addition to these four projects, Congressman Kean has secured more than $3 million for Warren County through the Community Project Funding process.
