Each year, the U.S. House of Representatives hosts the Congressional App Challenge. This is an annual coding competition designed to encourage student participation in computer science and coding and an opportunity for students to compete against their peers by creating an application (also known as an “app”) for desktop/PC, web, tablet, mobile, Raspberry Pi or other devices.
Congressman Tom Kean, Jr., invited students who reside in New Jersey's Seventh Congressional District to participate in an essay contest to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary. The winning essays will be framed and hung in Congressman Kean’s New Jersey and Washington, DC offices and featured on the Congressman’s official website.
