Kean, Hunterdon County, and Chamber of Commerce Co-Host Annual Veterans Resource Fair
(October 17, 2025) KINGWOOD, NJ – Yesterday, Congressman Tom Kean, Jr. (NJ-07) together with the Hunterdon County Board of Commissioners and the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce, co-hosted its Annual Veterans Resource Fair at Razberry’s Banquet Hall in Kingwood Township.
For the second consecutive year, this free event brought together veterans, active-duty servicemembers, and their families to connect them with essential services and local resources. Participants met with resource providers and vendors offering information on healthcare assistance, veterans benefit counseling, employment and housing support, and education opportunities.
During the event, Congressman Tom Kean, Jr. spoke with attendees about legislation he has supported in Congress to enhance veterans’ care, education, and career opportunities. He recently introduced the Veterans Flight Training Responsibility Act (H.R.5634), which would give veterans expedited access to GI Bill benefits for flight training, allowing those pursuing aviation careers to do so more quickly and affordably. Congressman Kean has also supported several measures to improve veterans’ services, including the Veterans Appeals Efficiency Act (H.R.3835), the Saving Vet Halls Act (H.R.4663), and the Veterans’ Caregiver Appeals Modernization Act (H.R.3833).
“It was an honor to participate in Hunterdon County’s Annual Veterans Resource Fair and spend time with the incredible men and women who have served our country,” said Congressman Tom Kean, Jr. “Here in New Jersey, my constituent services team has closed hundreds of VA and military cases, returning more than $3 million to veterans across the state. If you or someone you know is appealing a VA disability determination, seeking survivor benefits, back pay for long-overdue pensions, or assistance with any other VA matter, please do not hesitate to contact my office. It is important we all stand with those who have sacrificed so much to protect our freedoms.”
“Our veterans have earned our deepest respect and gratitude for their service to our nation,” said Hunterdon County Commissioner Director John Lanza. "I am proud that Hunterdon County partnered with Congressman Tom Kean, Jr. and the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce to host our 2nd Annual Veterans Resource Fair—a meaningful event that was a resounding success in connecting veterans with the services and support they deserve.”
