Kean Visits FY25 Community Project Funding Site in Mountainside

(October 4, 2024) MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ – On Wednesday, Congressman Tom Kean, Jr. (NJ-07) met with Mountainside Mayor Paul Mirabelli ahead of the FY25 appropriations discussion to gain insight into local law enforcement needs and priorities. Congressman Kean requested $63,250 for Mountainside Borough Hall in this year’s appropriation process. This funding will allow the Borough to purchase and install new security cameras at the Borough Hall and the fire department, as well as a computerized badged locking system.
“With the uptick of crime in our neighborhoods, it is crucial that public safety buildings are updated with modern technology to enhance security measures, improve surveillance capabilities, and ensure the safety of residents, visitors, and staff alike,” said Congressman Kean. “Borough Hall contains the police department, senior center, recreation center, building and construction office, tax office, clerk’s office, and municipal court. I will continue to advocate on behalf of Mountainside to get this community the funding they deserve.”
